When I was growing up, I liked to play basketball, swim, play games—basically like any other young child, just have fun. However, in the small community in Wisconsin where I grew up there wasn't a place for my friends and me to go.

What It Offers

For Preschoolers
Tumbleweed features an indoor play area for children 5 years of age and younger. The area contains toys, equipment and activities that are fun for preschool children and also allow parents to take part as well.

For Youth & Teens
Tumbleweed offers drop-in programs for youth and teens as well including a modern arcade that offers active games such as dance pads, Cateye Game bikes, a Nintendo Wii game system and XR-Boards. There is also a lounge setting for teens with an open stage, sitting area, foosball, air hockey and more. Finally, the west gymnasium offers an indoor basketball court with three basketball hoops and open space to conduct a variety of games and activities for youth and teens. After-school drop programs are available including dodge ball, capture the flag, volleyball and a mixture of large-and small-groups activities.

For Parents
Tumbleweed features a 6,000-square-foot fitness center with 41 pieces of cardiovascular equipment including LifeFitness treadmills, bikes, cross-trainers and 44 strength pieces of equipment. There also is an indoor track, and the east gymnasium is available seven days a week for adult open gym.

For the Entire Family
Family is the name of the game at Tumbleweed Recreation Center as it offers any number of special interest classes for everyone in the family. Parents also can book birthday parties and family meetings at the center with packages that will fit any event.
